Shawana has a social work and public health background and has worked in Aboriginal health for 17 years.  Her experience includes project management, program development, teaching,  research, community development and direct service delivery.  She currently works as Lecturer in Indigenous Health at the Melbourne School of Health Sciences and leads the Indigenous Curriculum Framework development for the School and the Billibellary’s Walk project as part of broader university efforts to develop Indigenous pedagogical tools to facilitate Indigenous curriculum development.
